After yesterday's post
I thought that maybe
I should show you really
how windy it was
from MacDonald Hill
We whipped up the road to the hill
and I jumped out and ran to the edge.
Down below was the wind surfer
who had too much
and returned to his car.
But for me,
I Love the Wind
from the left side....
from behind
from the left side and from behind
double whammy effect
forceful enough to blow my tongue
out of my mouth
(told you it was strong)
OK, that's enough
one last sniff on the wind
(I think I smell the U.S.A.)
I'm all re-invigorated now...
watch out here I come!
One last wind blast
with a full 2 ear
up lift.
(my patriotic side coming out if you click
the pale grey line)
Aahhh!
That was so ticklish...
I tell you standing in the wind
makes you do silly things!
Hello Ron and Sophie,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and Sophie I think we can tell you are fascinated by 'where does the wind come from...' Aston would have to be on a lead, as I think he would be a kite very quickly in that wind!!
Ivan and Aston
Aston...imagine what you could see high in the heavens floating over your huge property....now you would be a definitely called a watch dog!
DeleteSophie, you are truly a goof-ball!!
ReplyDelete-Bart and Ruby
If you think I'm a goof-ball take a look at one of my Dads...not saying which one though!
DeleteOh my... I really hope tomorrow morning it´s not so stormy over here... Wahaaaa!
ReplyDeleteYou really need a BLEIBAND to make you heavier ;)! The EARFOTO made me smile soooo much! I needed that. :D
So thanks, Sophie and dads
The BLEIBAND would work for sure....glad you got a smile out of my silliness!
DeletePoor Sophie! The wind's blowing right up your wazoo!
ReplyDeleteI thought you were going to say....right up your a*$e.....I so would have laughed harder!
DeleteIt really was a windy day for you Miss Sophie.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing, we sang the Canada National Anthem around a firepit last night. For reals! We fudged some of the words tho (I thought it was guarded knee haha). Thanks Professional Hockey (that's way we know most of the words!
Violet and Julie
This is a hoot and a half....we make up words for songs all the time...some of them can't be mentioned here...too funny though! Hey maybe the Canadian Anthem needs some new words! Just sayin'!
DeleteHi Sophie - I like lots of wind to. Sometimes it gets so strong here that I can lean with almost all my weight into the wind like its a pillow. I get very silly and like rushing around the beach pretending I am a seagull!! Lily. xxx
ReplyDeleteI got so silly on the hill too...Mother Nature was ticking me again. Lily you'd make a good seadoodle!!
DeleteFor once I will just drop a note asking for help. Urgently need any one who can help us help a friend with a dog missing in Blogville. I am not in the US and have tried Facebook and Tweet but some of you may know people in the state. Details on my blog. Thank you thank you thank you.
ReplyDeleteMolly
I posted this for You and I hope it may just help!
DeleteRon and Sophie
wind makes my Lily run and act nutty. You too?
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Oh Lily...maybe I have a bit of French Bulldog in me...you never know!
DeleteWhen we have wind like that, the local tv weather folks call it "small dog warnings". Glad you're big enough not to blow away!
ReplyDeleteHow about "medium sized dog warnings" or larger...can you just imagine!
DeleteYou were smelling the USA, although I thought there was a feeling of chilly Canada when the direction changed! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis was an off-handed geographical pin-pointing of Nova Scotia...because everyone here knows we are the tailpipe of all industrial effluent sent into the atmosphere from the eastern seaboard of 'merica! Our cancer rates are higher than the rest of the country and so is MS....so we live as healthy as possible because....well...it's self-explanatory I guess!
DeleteHope this wasn't a downer!
Ron
We love your scottie ears!!!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Dem ears are for you, my sweets!
Deletesophie is having a blast. what great times & the views are lovely. (:
ReplyDeleteYes enjoying life the doodle way!
DeleteYou really did have a whipping day, Sophie!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Sure dis, you 2....finally the winds have calmed down...phew!
DeleteHi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteThat's some wind!
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
You wanna bet it was!
DeleteWonderful windy photos! We were in the wind today too but up high in the mountains. It was so windy that we couldn't walk, and we had to head down. I'm glad that you had so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI imagine your winds were so much more intense...especially if you couldn't walk. I can envision the dogs with 'super flat' ears pasted to the sides of their heads and you with The Runner huddled closely!
DeleteSorry... I was laughing... those were some fun shots!
ReplyDelete(Think if I was going to wind surf I would hang it up too. Whew!
Glad you I put a smile on your face Sharon...I aim to please!
DeleteThe "2-ear" is so funny!
ReplyDeleteI was going to make a snide comment that it probably wasn't a good thing to smell the USA, then I read the comments and found in reality you already know that. How sad!
Yes, I realized after Jim told me some people might take offence to the not-so neighbourliness comment that I should redeem myself.
DeleteBecause the northern hemisphere winds blow to the east from the west, many articles have been written and programs on TV such as The Nature of Things and the like have discussed this unfortunate situation that happens to fall upon us. This is one reason why thinking about others and what can happen to them through your own actions has always been forefront for us. We do not live in a vacuum as you know...if you toss out kindness to people you usually receive in like. The same can be said for pollution however tossing it out to the atmosphere does effect others adversely and we only know this too well. We live our lives to the best that we know how and deal with what comes at us. This is what we have grown to accept.
Ha ha great pictures of you Sophie!!! Love the wind taking your ears in different directions....
ReplyDeleteWe have a huge rain coming over this evening....the dachshunds wont go out...
Hope the rain doesn't wash you out...please stay safe and warm!
